Mindfulness-based therapy (MBT) combines mindfulness meditation, body awareness, and psychotherapy. MBT is very helpful in decreasing symptoms of depression, anxiety,and chronic pain. It improves one’s resilience, immune system, and quality of life.
MBT incorporates Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), which research now shows is profoundly healing.
Compassion Focused Therapy helps transform problematic patterns related to anxiety, anger, shame, and self-criticism. Through learning the art of self-compassion, we enhance our ability to be gentle, warm, and kind with ourselves and others. We will be using a mind/body dialogue to help you begin to transform your connection to yourself. Most clients find this to be a deeply healing process as they learn to include the body and its needs into their everyday experience.
